Bee-Friendly Workshop at Colony Urban Farm!

Want to get the buzz on bees? Join Gateway Nature Preserve at Colony Urban Farm, where Allison Bowling will share her knowledge about the role of bees as pollinators. You’ll learn the following and more:

  • Honeybees vs. native bees? History and Benefits 
  • Pollination statistics: Why are native bees important?
  • Fundamentals of native bee habitats & life cycles
  • How you can help 
  • Keys to success 

You will also get to see a demonstration habitat, nesting materials, and cocoons!
